Economic Downturn Slows Coskata Plans

Coskata was previously hoping to break ground on the plant — expected to produce 50-100 million gallons of ethanol annually — this year and to complete the factory in late 2010 or early 2011. Coskata CEO Bill Roe said the company is now waiting for a loan guarantee from the Department of Energy to build its first commercial scale plant and that the plant is basically stalled until then.
