State Energy Act Signed into Law, MN

Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty Friday (May 25, 2007) signed the Next Generation Energy Act of 2007. The legislation includes energy saving goals, community based energy development, climate change and greenhouse gas reduction, 25xÕ25 renewable electricity requirements, and next generation bioenergy and biofuels provisions.

Biomass-Derived Hydrogen Technology Developed, VA and DOE

Virginia Tech and Department of Energy researchers claims to have found an “organic” answer that mixes starch (derived from biomass) with water. A blend of organic enzymes was added to release hydrogen from water when a driver of a future hydrogen-powered car steps on the accelerator.
